1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Health Guide India (“HGI”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when individuals use the HGI public website, account portal and healthcare-navigation services. HGI is owned and operated by Infowin Digicare Pvt Ltd.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use HGI, information may include account identity and contact details, patient and family-profile information, healthcare requests, appointments, uploaded medical documents, referral and provider information, support communications, billing records, technical/security logs, and information submitted through contact or partner-enrolment forms.
3. Why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify email addresses; manage patient profiles; coordinate healthcare requests, appointments, referrals and follow-up; store and deliver authorized documents; communicate service updates; respond to enquiries; manage partner applications; maintain records; protect the platform; investigate misuse; improve services; and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
4. Healthcare and sensitive information
Medical records and healthcare information may be particularly sensitive. HGI uses access controls, private storage, audit logging and role-based workflows intended to restrict access to authorized users and operational or healthcare participants involved in the relevant service. Users should upload only information that is necessary for the requested healthcare coordination.
5. Family and dependent profiles
An HGI account may create or manage patient profiles for family members or other persons where the account holder has appropriate authority. The account holder is responsible for ensuring that such use is lawful and appropriately authorized.
6. Sharing of information
Information may be shared, where necessary for the requested service, with authorized HGI personnel, doctors or healthcare professionals assigned to a case, hospitals, diagnostic centres, home-healthcare organizations or other healthcare partners. We may also use service providers that support hosting, email, security, payment or technical operations. We do not treat public partner-directory inclusion as permission to disclose unrelated patient information.
7. Legal basis and consent
Where applicable, HGI processes digital personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules brought into force under it. Depending on the service and applicable law, processing may be based on consent, a user-requested service, permitted legitimate uses, contractual necessity, legal obligation or another lawful basis.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the healthcare-navigation purpose, continuity of service, security, accounting, dispute handling and applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Retention periods may differ by record type.
9. Security
HGI uses measures including password hashing, email OTP verification, role-based permissions, private document storage, access logging, HTTPS-oriented deployment controls and operational monitoring. No internet or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should also protect their passwords, email accounts and devices.
10. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to or correction of their personal data, seek information about processing, raise a grievance, withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, or request erasure where legally available and compatible with required record retention. Requests may require identity verification.
11. Cookies and technical information
HGI may use essential session cookies and similar technical mechanisms required for authentication, security, form protection and normal portal operation. We may also retain IP address, browser/user-agent and application logs for security and troubleshooting.
12. Children and persons requiring guardianship
Where a patient is a child or otherwise requires a guardian or authorized representative, the responsible adult must have appropriate authority to create or manage that profile and provide information to HGI.
13. Third-party healthcare providers
Hospitals, doctors, laboratories and other healthcare organizations may independently process information under their own legal, professional and privacy obligations. Their privacy practices are not controlled solely by this HGI policy.
14. Contact and grievances
Privacy or data-related questions may be submitted through the HGI Contact page. Corporate enquiries may also be directed to Infowin Digicare Pvt Ltd through its official website or at infowindigicare@gmail.com.
15. Updates
We may update this policy as HGI services, law or operational practices change. The effective date shown above indicates the current published version.
